It was hard for me to tell without knowing the scale of the picture. Oh, well. It's still cool. Amazing how sensitive to light those newer cameras are. In the "old days" (film), it would be hard to get stars without using really fast film (400-1000 ISO or faster) and a 20-40 second exposure.SkyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12149622862975962200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2117478420467424464.post-82038042095219851662011-09-24T14:04:10.922-07:002011-09-24T14:04:10.922-07:00I changed my mind. Are the little dots stars, or just weird "noise" from your camera? They're shaped an awful lot like the keystone of the constellation Hercules, and there's even a smudge right where the globular cluster M13 ought to be.SkyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12149622862975962200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2117478420467424464.post-7186187251883237912011-09-09T16:43:34.412-07:002011-09-09T16:43:34.412-07:00I have to say, it seems like the crazier a hike is...I have to say, it seems like the crazier a hike is, the more beautiful the views and pictures.Starry Dynamohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14602064073938427792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2117478420467424464.post-76027596631541242192011-09-09T14:50:41.903-07:002011-09-09T14:50:41.903-07:00possibly... or making them hike the mountaineer...possibly... or making them hike the mountaineer's route. in the snow. alone.Paulatronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06580107315140511350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2117478420467424464.post-36105900202687541092011-09-09T14:44:35.538-07:002011-09-09T14:44:35.538-07:00Do you think hiking Mount Whitney might be the cur...Do you think hiking Mount Whitney might be the cure for being a douche bag?

Great post!!Deehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15958109538202883210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2117478420467424464.post-36858685394228485652011-09-05T22:52:00.192-07:002011-09-05T22:52:00.192-07:00what an excellent experience :) love that photo o...what an excellent experience :) love that photo of the great western divideRLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02186908136353080672noreply@blogger.com
